FAQ / Disabling Internet Explorer enhanced security Windows Server 2012
This is a simple instruction on how to disable settings that make Internet Explorer is not very handy in a test or lab environment. When Configuration Internet Explorer enhanced security (IE ESC) is enabled, the user always sees the popup window asking to add every new URL to the trusted scope IE
- On the desktop server in Windows Server 2012 (left panel) and run the Server Manager.
- Select Local server (the server that is currently active and which you want to disable enhanced security configuration in Internet Explorer). Right in Server Manager you will see enhanced security configuration for Internet Explorer (enabled by default):
- The figure shows the complete configuration disabling Internet Explorer enhanced security. After making your selection, click OK. Back in Server Manager, update Server Manager (F5 key) , the setting will change to Off.

- Ready. Open IE browser and verify access to any website.
